Supported Payment Methods

1. Clover
PawsAdmin fully integrates with Clover products, including Clover Mini, Clover Flex, and Clover online payments.
Setup Process:
- Go to Admin > Integrated Payments > Clover
- Fill out the form (CloverConnect will contact you)
- Once approved, enter your merchant ID to link your account
- Select Clover from the payment method dropdown menu on invoices
Note: Integration must be set up through CloverConnect, even if you already have a Clover device.
2. Stripe
PawsAdmin integrates with Stripe for online payments and in-person transactions using the Stripe POS reader.
Setup Process:
- Go to Admin > Integrated Payments > Stripe
- Enter your Stripe login to link your account
- For online payments: Clients can pay through the client portal
- For in-person payments: Select "Stripe Reader" from the payment method dropdown on invoices
3. Square
While not fully integrated, you can use your Square account with PawsAdmin.
Setup Process:
- Go to Admin > Other Payment Method
- Add "Square" as a payment method
- On invoices, select Square from the payment method dropdown
- Manually enter the invoice total into your Square POS
- After payment, click "tender=equal" and "Paid" in PawsAdmin
4. PayPal
PawsAdmin allows you to use your PayPal account for transactions.
Setup Process:
- Go to Admin > Other Payment Method
- Add "PayPal" as a payment method
- On invoices, select PayPal from the payment method dropdown
- After payment is received, click "tender=equal" and "Paid" in PawsAdmin
5. Other Payment Systems
PawsAdmin accommodates various POS systems.
Setup Process:
- Go to Admin > Other Payment Method
- Add your POS name as a payment method
- On invoices, select your POS from the payment method dropdown
- Enter the invoice total into your POS system
- After payment, click "tender=equal" and "Paid" in PawsAdmin
Tip: If you close batch daily, consider entering accepted card types (e.g., Mastercard, Debit) instead. This allows you to compare income totals by card type in the Today's Total report with your batch statement.
6. E-transfer
PawsAdmin supports e-transfer payments.
Setup Process:
- Go to Admin > Other Payment Method
- Add "E-transfer" as a payment method
- On invoices, select E-transfer from the payment method dropdown
- Save the invoice
- Once the e-transfer is received, click "tender=equal" and "Paid"
7. Cheque
You can process cheque payments through PawsAdmin.
Setup Process:
- Go to Admin > Other Payment Method
- Add "Cheque" as a payment method
- On invoices, select Cheque from the payment method dropdown
- Save the invoice
- Once the cheque is received, click "tender=equal" and "Paid"
8. Cash
Cash payments are included in the default payment methods.
Usage:
- On invoices, select Cash from the payment method dropdown
- Once payment is received, click "tender=equal" and "Paid"
- Use the Today > Cashsheet feature to balance your cash daily
Best Practices
- Remove Unused Methods: Go to Admin > Other Payment Methods to remove any payment methods that don't apply to your business.
- Staff Training: Ensure all staff members are familiar with the payment methods you accept and how to process them in PawsAdmin.
- Regular Reconciliation: Use the Today's Total report to reconcile your PawsAdmin records with your payment system reports.
