Sometimes you may find duplicated pets in your system. In PawsAdmin, you can easily merge these duplicates. This process will combine profiles, notes, future appointments, recurring rules, packages, and past check-ins. All data from the secondary pet will be transferred to the primary pet, except for past invoices and payments, to maintain the integrity of financial records. Merging pets is simple and straightforward. Here's how it works:
1. Decide Which Pet Profile to Keep:
- Choose the pet profile that you want to keep as the primary pet.
2. Go to Merge Pets:
- Navigate to Admin > Manage > Merge Pets (beta).
3. Search for the Primary Pet:
- Search for and select the pet profile you decided to keep as the primary pet.
4. Search for the Duplicate Pet:
- Search for and select the duplicated pet profile that you want to merge.
5. Submit the Merge:
- Confirm the selection and submit the merge process.
6. Review What's Moved:
- Profiles, notes, future appointments, recurring rules, packages, and past check-ins from the duplicated pet are now part of the primary pet's profile.
- Note: Past invoices and payments will not be merged.
7. Duplicated Pet Becomes Inactive:
- The duplicated pet profile will be set to inactive to prevent accidental bookings.
Change Your Mind?:
- If you need to revert the merge, you can find the inactive pet in the Pet Directory under Admin > Settings > Reports and reactivate it.
Additional Features
- Change Pet Owner: Reassign the pet to a different owner.
- Change Linked Online Booking Account: Update the online booking account linked to the pet.
- Delete a Pet Owner: Remove a pet owner from the system.
