Default and Custom Sorting Options
By default, your Check-In page automatically sorts by Pet Name alphabetically. With our new beta feature, you can change this to sort by any column of your choice - such as Customer Name, Services, Time, and more.
What This Feature Does
When enabled, the Check-In page will remember your preferred sorting column and apply it automatically each time you open the page. This eliminates the need to manually re-sort your view every time you navigate back to Check-In.
How to Use Custom Sorting
- Navigate to the Check-In Page:
- Access "Check-In" from your dashboard
- Select Your Tab:
- Choose either "Who's Here" or "Grooming" tab
- Choose Your Preferred Sort Column:
- Click on any column header (Services, Customer Name, etc.) to sort by that column
- Click again to toggle between ascending and descending order
- Your Sort Preference Will Be Saved:
- If the beta feature is enabled for your account, the system will remember your sorting preference
Getting the Beta Feature Enabled
This custom sorting capability is currently a beta feature and needs to be activated for your account. To have it enabled:
- Contact our support team to request the custom sorting feature
- Specify which column you'd like as your default sort (Services, Customer Name, etc.)
- Our team will configure this preference for your account
Sorting by Service Time Example
Many users find it helpful to sort by Services to view appointments in chronological order:
- Click on the "Services" column header
- Appointments will display from earliest to latest time of day
- Click again to reverse the order if needed
Troubleshooting
If your sort preferences aren't being saved:
- Confirm the beta feature has been enabled for your account
- Make sure you're applying the sort to your intended tab ("Who's Here" or "Grooming")
- Try refreshing your browser
- Contact support if issues persist
