Here is a popular workflow we see for boarding.
- Booking
- Access the boarding booking link from Plus Sign or the Boarding calendar option in the header
- Follow the steps to book for one or more family pets
- Click on Show Invoice to see the total cost. Clients can pre-pay for the reservation, make a deposit if needed

If you price boarding by kennel type
On the invoice, it loads the prices automatically according to your kennel & price association set up.
If you price boarding by pet size
On the invoice, it loads the pet’s size automatically and finds the matching prices. You can update a pet’s size directly on the invoice to reflect the correct size
Note: Deposit feature is only available if you have it enabled.
At the bottom of the invoice page, you can find a “Deposit” checkbox. If checked, the total will be updated to reflect the percentage in your setting, and you can close the invoice as a deposit. Any changes made to the deposit invoice are saved for you.
- Check-in/out a pet on Today’s dashboard
- Check-in, and update details if needed
- Access pet’s ‘Run Card’ and today’s boarding to-dos
- Accept payments and check-out a pet as needed
ProTip: Always use search to instantly find the pet you are looking for (e.g., ‘owes’, ‘-in’, phone number, name, breed etc., anything that you see in the table is searchable). You should never have to read through the list to find a dog.
If the deposit invoice was closed previously, you will find the 'Ticket Information (CLOSED)' link. Click on Generate ticket to generate the rest of the ticket, which will reflect the deposit and balance.
